Hi, friend — I’m so glad you’re here!

Grab a glass of sweet, iced tea (mine’s always nearby in a Stanley cup!) — let’s get to know each other.

My name is Amy Wade, and while I spend my days creating resources for teachers, my story has a few unexpected twists. Before all this, I danced professionally as a classically trained ballerina with world-renowned companies. These days, I still teach two advanced ballet classes a week — thanks, Mom, for insisting I earn my degree while pirouetting!

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood with an emphasis on reading, a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. I taught Pre-K and Kindergarten in public school and the private school setting, and I loved it! For twelve wonderful (and sometimes wild) years, I homeschooled our three daughters through high school graduation — and yes, they graduated from college! (Go, homeschoolers!)

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me surrounded by my crew: my husband of 25 years, our three wonderful daughters, and our trio of dogs (though the smallest one with an attitude who isn’t the brightest one, definitely has my heart — don’t tell the others!).

We call southeast Texas home, where I try my hand at flower gardening — though let’s just say the plants would probably prefer less enthusiasm with the watering can. Oh, and here’s a fun twist: for 15 years, I raised two rescued monkeys, Funky and Stitch. They ran around our house freely in little diapers, and our children thought most people had monkeys like us. Sweet little loves — rest in peace, my furry babies.

Between bingeing crime shows with my best friend of 23 years (future private detectives?) and keeping a running list of children’s books I “need” to add to my collection, life stays full. Cooking, however? Not my thing. At all. We eat out. A lot.

Seeing your little learners grow with the help of my resources truly fills my heart!

So… do we have anything in common? I’d love to hear from you! Send me a quick email or a DM on Instagram — let’s be teacher friends!
